Position: Wax Room Setter - Production Operative
Hours of Work: (6:00am to 2:30pm Monday -Thursday, 6:00am to 1:30pm on Fridays)
Location: Yeovil
Role Summary:
Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants. To support our rapid growth, we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities.
The Wax Room Setter will be responsible for the set up of tooling on presses and ensuring all presses are running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met at all times.
2. Keep wax presses full with wax for the operators.
3. Set up tooling on presses and ensure wax injections are made to the required quality.
4. Inject wax using appropriate machinery and control procedures to company-specific standards.
5. Contribute to the efficient operation of the department, ensuring product is produced to deadlines, quality, and cost requirements in a safe manner.
6. Leach parts using citric acid solution, avoiding damage and ensuring all soluble is removed, assessing the condition of leaching tanks, and replenishing in accordance with work instructions.
7. Keep the work area and machinery clean and tidy.
8. Provide flexibility and assist in other areas of the business as required.
9. Maintain timescales according to job cards.
10. Ensure that work routing is strictly adhered to, ensuring that deviations are agreed and exceptions followed.
Person Specification:
1. Ability to interpret measurements and standards set for tooling machinery and wax patterns.
2. Proven manual dexterity skills in handling intricate fragile parts.
3. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs, working as part of a team and also as an individual.
4. Ability to work and conform to set procedures.
5. Attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
Essential and Desired Qualifications:
Package on offer:
Salary: Range DOE
Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH (Pro-rata)
Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service
