Capital is a well-established and versatile Principal Contractor specialising in the dynamic fields of commercial and retail construction.
We currently have an opening for a CAD Technician that wants to progress and work in a Design Management Role. We are in search of a highly skilled and seasoned Technician with at least 3 years of experience to become a valuable addition to our workforce. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and proficiency, particularly in the realms of cut and carve and new build commercial projects in the UK.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and will be responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and schematics. This role requires proficiency in various CAD software applications and an understanding of engineering principles to support our projects effectively.
Responsibilities
* Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings and schematics using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop.
* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Create 3D models using Sketchup or similar software to visualise designs.
* Review and revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients.
* Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
* Maintain an organised library of drawings and documentation for easy access by team members.
* Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including reports and presentations.
Experience
* Proficient in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, and related applications.
* Previous experience in a similar role within the engineering or architectural field is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and engineering principles.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders effectively.
