We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Housing Needs Team as a Project Development Officer. Your role: Working as a key member of Housing Needs team the Tenancy Sustainment and Floating Support Officer (FSO) will be an integral part in delivering efficient and effective tenancy sustainment and support to customers as part of the East Suffolk Housing Pathway provision. The postholder will be working alongside other colleagues, partners and other Council services to identify customers who are at risk of eviction due to rent arrears, financial exclusion or anti-social behaviour, by providing appropriate support, advice and assistance during interviews and placement visits based on informed and up-to-date affordability assessments. What you will need: The candidate will have knowledge and/or general understanding of housing standards, welfare benefit legislation, housing and homelessness legislation, private sector market and tenancy sustainment, and have practical experience of working with accommodation providers withing a supported housing framework. You will have 5 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics (or equivalent) and be able to promote a positive communication across the organisation, encourage constructive relationships and develop customer feedback methods.
