About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of the students with diverse needs. Your responsibilities will include: Individualized Support: Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of SEN, implementing tailored learning plans and strategies. Collaborative Teamwork: Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to student learning. Positive Classroom Environment: Creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and well-being. Communication and Collaboration: Maintaining clear and effective communication with parents, caregivers, and other professionals involved in the student's care. Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in adjusting teaching strategies and support plans to meet individual student needs. Ideal Candidate: Proven SEN Experience: Demonstrated experience working with students with a variety of SEN, including (list specific needs relevant to the school, e.g., autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities). Passionate and Empathetic: A genuine passion for supporting students with SEN and a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents. Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive team. Patient and Understanding: A calm and patient approach to working with students with diverse learning styles and emotional needs. Resourceful and Creative: The ability to think creatively and find innovative ways to support student learning and overcome challenges. Qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths. Relevant experience in a school setting is highly desirable. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, or equivalent experience. SEN experience is essential.
