The Opportunity/Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for an EHS Manager to join our operations here in Huntingdon, Cambs. Reporting to the EHS Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Health & Safety excellence to a thriving site made up of a large manufacturing facility, yard area and offices.
Main responsibilities will include:
1. Facilitate development of a site strategy and action plan that reflects the risk profile, and is consistent with Group strategy.
2. Ensure site develops and implements EHS plans to address their most significant risks & opportunities.
3. Train & coach first and second line leadership teams to enable them to effectively lead & manage EHS within their areas of responsibility.
4. Ensure an effective EHS onboarding program for all who enter and work on the site.
5. Advise site on improving performance, eg on managing key risks, developing business processes, and creating a EHS culture.
6. Manage EHS site investment proposals to ensure effective prioritisation of resources.
7. Coach analyses of incidents to ensure effective learning and appropriate action planning.
8. Monitor progress on the site on legal compliance, risk management, capability building, and culture development.
Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Diploma in H&S Management.
2. Environmental qualification would be an advantage.
3. Practical knowledge of EHS Management practices including assessment and control of relevant physical and mental health risks.
4. Practical knowledge of EHS Management systems and business processes including ISO 45001 & 14001.
5. H&S Cultural Architect! An individual with the ability to really curate a solid H&S culture within a large, complex site operation, with a passion for leading teams and developing people.
