Pay Rates:
£27.00 - £31.00 paye per hour
£30.00 - £35.00 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour
£34.00 - £40.50 umbrella per hour
All the above rates are dependent on skill and experience.
Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week)
Remote working option: Hybrid working, there is an expectation to work on site, this will be discussed with the client during the interview stage. This will also include cross site working.

Job Purpose:
The report “Accelerating Genomic Medicine in the NHS” recognises the vital role that digital transformation is playing in the future of the NHS and outlines a vision for how genomics can drive dramatic improvements in patient care.
The NHS has identified the following 3 key areas to deliver on this promise:
1. Developing an interoperable informatic and data infrastructure that enables the NHS to use and share genomic data appropriately to improve patient care.
2. Putting the NHS at the forefront of using genomic data alongside other health data to drive health improvements for individuals and populations.
3. Enabling the NHS to use cutting-edge analytical tools and up to date variant databases to maximise diagnosis, access to precision medicine and efficiency.
The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the Informatics strategy and the following objectives.
4. Create a regional genomic testing network with an underpinning informatics infrastructure based on interoperability which enables Genomics to move away from paper-based systems.
5. Allow digital data to be accessed, shared and be readily available across the Genomics to support the delivery of Genomics services.
6. Have in place effective informatics infrastructure to ensure equity of access to testing for our patients across the region
7. Ensure the timely provision of data to enable research and support implementation of new pathways and outcomes
8. Enable the routine generation of data for analytics and management information
9. Adhere to the highest expectations and standard requirements related to data sharing interoperability
10. Have an information governance framework in place that supports the sharing and use of data for both clinical and research purposes.
11. Utilise existing stratified data available through Population Health Management to provide insights and partner with PHM initiatives in the ICSs to ensure genomics data is used are to improve health and wellbeing across the region
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Knowledge
12. Ability to analyse data for information and/or performance measurement within the context of the relevant health and care environment
13. Ability to employ applicable data sources to produce valid, verifiable and replicable analyses
14. Ability to apply relevant software and numeracy skills with a range of analytical techniques
15. Able to deploy problem-solving skills to define requirements for analytical work
16. Engagement in continuous skills development, exhibiting professionalism and seek out and share emerging best practice

19. Information Governance – Knowledge of when data can be accessed and shared and who to approach outside the organisation for advice.
20. Knowledge of GDPR and consent to process data.
Experience
21. Extensive experience in managing the whole product development lifecycle from scoping and developing the proof of concept to operational use positively engaging with stakeholders at each stage.
22. Experience in data visualisation (using Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik etc)
23. Experience in geographical mapping and combining with other visualisation mapping to create greater impact.
24. Understanding of the different types of statistical process control charts and when each should be used.
25. Knowledge of process re-design and its dependence of removing special cause variation.
26. Experience in producing indicators and metrics that clearly measure what is required.
Skills
27. Ability to use key techniques in predictive analytics including regression methods and use them with different data types, selecting the appropriate technique for the subject.
28. Generate and communicate insight verbally, visually and in writing to a variety of information consumers.
29. Ability to use decision trees and cluster analysis in addition to simpler techniques, communicating about methods and related limitations to stakeholders.
30. Ability to express logical and physical data models.
31. Understanding of how data linkage and different types of analysis can re-identify or help anonymise data.
32. Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations.
33. Positively represent the technical community to large audiences inside and outside healthcare.
34. Ability to use a wide variety of evaluative and economic analytic methods to answer strategic questions
