Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Norwich, United Kingdom. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
* Visits from 7am
* £12.00-£24.00 per hour
* Paid mileage
* Paid travel time and waiting time between clients visits at regular hourly rate
* Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort
* Assist with meal preparation when required
* Help clients with medication
* Engage in social activities and provide companionship to clients
* Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
* Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health
* Maintain accurate records of care
* Participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications
* Care experience is not necessary, but you will need to be at least 18 years old.
* This job involves travelling from home to home, therefore you will need a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
* No formal qualifications required; full training will be provided.
* This role is subject to a DBS check.
* Genuine passion for supporting and caring for others.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build professional relationships.
* Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful demeanour.
* Patience, empathy, and understanding.
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills for maintaining accurate records.
* Ability to work flexibly as part of a team and independently.
* Previous experience in a care setting or personal experience of caring for family members is advantageous but not essential.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to clients' individual needs.
* Commitment to maintaining client dignity and promoting independence.
