The team…
IT Services, within the Resources and Digital Directorate, operates at the very core of the Council's operations, working with services and key stakeholders to empower employees to deliver the Council priorities through the use of technology.
We have made a significant investment into the IT Strategy to further support the council’s ambitions, with the key goals of Service, Value, Security, and Agility.
About the role…
We are looking to offer a fantastic opportunity to 2 talented and committed individuals to deliver service improvement with the focus on delivering efficient Gateshead Council services in a modern workplace with new or existing technology solutions.
This is a permanent career graded post, where progression is dependent on your experience and qualifications. You will be well supported with a structured career progression plan, which includes training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience.
You should have:
1. An understanding of customer-focused service improvement.
2. An understanding of working with data to identify problems and find solutions.
3. Good change management skills.
4. Good organisational and communication skills.
5. Good problem-solving skills.
6. Good team working skills.
7. Good presentation and reporting skills.
8. 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 or Grade A-C (or equivalent) or higher.

1. You’ll be paid a competitive salary £28,624 to £40,476 pa (depending on experience, this is a career graded post).
