A world leading premier Facilities Management (FM) provider is now looking for an Energy Manager to come in across a single prestigious contract for a corporate and retail banking client to drive through the Energy Optimisation project.
Here, you will take ownership of their London & South East portfolio which includes their UK Head Office - the focal point of the account - plus a number of offices and retail branches.
Our client already offers service streams around engineering maintenance, cleaning and security, with Energy the latest addition to the package.
Working in a strong, growing, and experienced Sustainability team aligned against your account, you will take a lead role in delivering year-on-year energy-saving reductions to meet client’s ambitious energy and carbon reduction targets, developing and implementing energy cost-saving measures – advising on energy solutions, undertaking energy surveys, etc.
This role is an exciting opportunity for an Energy professional looking to develop in a growing team within a world-class multinational organisation with the opportunity for international travel.
There are excellent routes of progression to Senior Energy Manager and you would receive full training and support.
Specific actions will include:
* Identify, develop, and implement new energy-related opportunities
* Carry out all energy-related tasks to ensure service provision and compliance
* Motivate and train colleagues and customer organisations in good energy management practices
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the energy requirements (legal, statutory and technical issues) which are applicable to and/or affect the Clients business
* Promote energy efficiency and provide advice and support for the development of energy-efficient practices
* Develop and implement energy-saving conservation measures (ECM’s) with associated Return on Investment (ROI)
* Develop and advise on energy solutions, developing these into working projects
* Undertake energy surveys in customer premises (offices and retail)
* Develop and implement strategic briefs for design guides/standards to meet the customer objectives and brief customer departments accordingly
* Provide full feasibility studies of costed initiatives/projects to reduce energy usage and/or supply (i.e. embedded generation/ CHP)
* Project management and implementation of initiatives
* The ability to provide monitoring and verification through the full cycle of the project to achieve cost and energy-efficient solutions
* Maintain a current level of utility market intelligence
* Plan, monitor, and achieve consumption/emission targets
* Understand utility supply trading arrangements
* Analyse utility profiles and benchmark against known data
We need from you:
* An intermediate level of energy experience, ideally in the FM sector with industry recognised certification proving helpful
