We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector. We have an exciting opportunity for a Metering Compliance Manager to join our team. For this role, you will be responsible for ensuring nBS compliance with regulatory requirements for obtaining non half hourly meter reads in order to support Billing. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2 days per week. Key responsibilities Use expertise to build plans for obtaining reads in a timely manner. Organise direct teams to manage exceptions (contacting customers to resolve issues with site access) to enable the achievement of compliance and business targets. Attend meetings with customers and/or their agents in order to agree, review and support their ability to achieve performance standards. Matrix manage relationships across other areas (Sales, Billing, Service) to complete their share of the plans to deliver full compliance. Understand the complex elements of industry data processes and how these can impact our performance. Develop ability to identify anomalies that could cause business to fail meter reading compliance measures. Ensure a team is in place with the ability to understand and proactively manage the impact of missing flows etc. Create a framework for managing all meter reading exceptions and use continuous improvement tools to reduce our settlement exceptions by improving processes and upstream data inputs. Clear response to customer/CRM on what next steps are required to fully resolve metering issue. What we need from you Detailed knowledge of the energy markets and associated regulatory and legal frameworks and operating processes including metering, billing and settlements. Ability to represent the company in industry working groups Experience in managing external agents and influencing regulatory bodies Ability to analyse and interpret complex data and to provide clear commentary in order to enable effective business decision making Experience of operating within a complex and rapidly changing market with numerous environmental, economic, political and technological factors to assess and consider. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. It would be great if you had A commercial understanding of meter reading processes.
