Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Carer to join our team in Broadstairs, United Kingdom. This can vary from sleeping nights and waking nights. As a Night Carer, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and care to our clients during nighttime hours, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
* Offer support and reassurance to clients throughout the night
* Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and changing
* Monitor clients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
* Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records
* Respond promptly to any emergencies or calls for assistance
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
* Provide emotional support and companionship to clients who may experience anxiety or restlessness during the night
* Collaborate with day staff to ensure continuity of care
* Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge
Qualifications
* Naturally caring and empathetic personality
* Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
* Physical stamina to work night shifts and assist clients as needed
* Ability to stay alert and responsive during night hours
* Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
* Basic first aid knowledge (training can be provided)
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and situations
* Willingness to learn and develop new care skills
* Previous experience in a care role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
* Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
