The Senior Treasury Analyst will oversee cash flow and liquidity management, ensuring the efficient allocation of financial resources to support the company's global operations. This position offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day banking relationships, streamline administrative tasks, and develop innovative cash management solutions that drive business growth. You will collaborate with the wider finance team to oversee cash flow and liquidity, maintain strong banking partnerships, and contribute to accurate cash and liquidity forecasting over both short- and medium-term horizons.
ABOUT THE ROLE
1. Update liquidity forecasting and bank balance reports on a weekly basis and analyse debtors to show impact on potential cash position.
2. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reporting for banking and lending stakeholders.
3. Ensure that the Group’s cash and liquidity is managed efficiently within policy.
4. Ensure there are sufficient funds (in each account and currencies) on a daily basis. This involves monitoring daily Group bank account and currency cash positions.
5. Liaise with Finance teams to ascertain short- and medium-term cash, payment forecasts and FX requirements via cash forecasts and other means.
6. Monitor, analyse, manage and report on financial risk exposures of the Group within policy.
7. Implementation of FX hedging and FX conversion strategies by buying and selling foreign currency using derivative contracts.
8. Identifying improvements in the current bank and cash management processes in order to streamline and reduce costs.
9. Ensure the most cost-effective sourcing of currency is used in order to reduce exposure to currency fluctuations in the country and within the Group.
10. Manage cash surpluses generated from operating activities and oversee the management of the Group’s liquidity portfolio.
11. Settling intercompany settlements across the Group.
12. Management of external loan facilities and drawdown administration.
13. Maintain day-to-day relationships with banking partners, ensuring all bank mandates are up to date and that the Group is conforming to all banking regulatory requirements (including Sanctions, AML and internal policies).
14. Maintain banking user access to ensure users have the correct access for day-to-day payments management.
15. Oversight of opening, closing and maintenance of bank accounts for the Group.
16. Development and maintenance of strong working relationships with global finance teams as required in relation to treasury activities.
17. Develop a thorough understanding of the Group’s Senior Facilities Agreement and ensure compliance is maintained effectively and efficiently.
18. Maintain operating relationships with 3rd party payment providers and ensure efficient processes for students’ payments and refunds.
ABOUT YOU
1. Professional accounting or treasury qualification preferred (or suitable relevant experience).
2. Using a range of finance/MI systems.
3. Working in a global role.
4. Experience using online banking platforms, treasury systems and accounting systems.
5. Experience working in an international treasury function. Experience of developing and preparing international cashflow reports (preferred).
6. Experience in developing fund flows policies and protocols and successfully implementing them (preferred).
