Job Advert: Teaching Assistant (Alternative Provision)
Location: Chapel-en-le-Firth
Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £85 - £110 per day, based on experience
Prospero Teaching Agency is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision (AP) school in Chapel-en-le-Firth. This is a fantastic opportunity to support primary-aged students who require additional guidance and encouragement in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students needs.
Support pupils with their individual learning targets and personal development.
Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
Work with small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning concepts.
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress.
Participate in the safeguarding and well-being of all students.
Requirements:
Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong communication skills with staff and parents.
A genuine passion for supporting and developing pupils learning.
Full-time availability during term time.
Ability to adapt to the needs of students in an alternative provision environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years.
