Teaching Assistant \n\nLocation: Leicester, LE5\n\nPay: £90- £105 per day \n\nContract: Long-term to permanent\n\nRole Type: Full Time, 8:15am - 3:45pm\n\nStart Date: As soon as possible\n\nAbout the Role\n\nLong Term Futures is currently working in collaboration with a pupil referral unit (PRU) in Leicester. We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the setting on a full-time basis. This role involves supporting students aged 5 to 11 years old who have been referred to the setting due to being unable to access mainstream learning.\n\nThis position is available until the end of the academic year, with the potential to secure a permanent role directly with the school thereafter. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide behaviour management and de-escalation support for students who have been removed from mainstream classrooms. \nWork closely with students displaying challenging behaviours. \nImplement effective behaviour strategies to promote positive engagement and self-regulation. \nBuild trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and behavioural needs. \nCollaborate with staff to ensure consistency in behaviour expectations and interventions.
