Project Surveyor As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, Project Surveyor to lead in property construction projects. Working throughout Neath Port Talbot Borough, on a permanent basis, with a starting salary of £39,403 with potential to increase to £43,066 after evidence of key competencies required within the role. About the role Reporting to Property Technical Manager, this role is responsible for leading in the preparation and coordination of property related construction projects. About You To be considered for the role you will need to be educated to a degree level standard and at least 5 years’ professional experience in a similar role. Ability to oversee projects from start to finish Coaching and mentoring to set and achieve performance standards and maintain competence. Compiling reports and provide project updates to a variety of audiences Comprehensive knowledge of construction related legislation and experience of working with these legislative bodies Coordinate the design team and third-party bodies who directly impact on the success of the projects. Deliver training and support the development of assistant/trainee surveyors Evaluate engineer projects, achieving the best outcomes for our organisation Excellent organisation and time management skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Provide instruction to others, communicating on construction related projects Resilient in difficult and challenging situations Respond independently to unexpected problems or situations with the appropriate solutions, based on technical expertise and experience in relation to both asset issues and resources Set and maintain standards of Health and Safety Setting standards, managing and challenging behaviours of internal/external stakeholders in line with our values Support the wider team in providing effective technical guidance keeping updated with changes in current legislation ensuring the team is suitably updated. Work as the intermediatory between internal and external stakeholders throughout the life of the project to ensure adequate intervention from all interested parties. Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to deliver the required outcomes and solutions, championing the drive for continuous improvement. Work to timelines and targets, ensuring that the work represents good value for money. Working as part of a team, take responsibility for and manage the successful completion of one or more construction projects, and or work programmes. Ensuring that all works meet all statutory and other imposed design and quality requirements whilst achieving value for money.
