The postholder will be responsible for the efficient running and incremental development of 'customer' support systems, processes and infrastructure.
The postholder will contribute to the delivery of a customer focused IT service which provides timely support to end users, the implementation of policy, business objectives and service developments.
Assists in meeting the performance management requirements of the Department and contributes to the strategic direction of the service. The postholder will be required to undertake duties at any site within the Trust on a permanent or temporary basis as required.
Main duties of the job
1. Work with the other members of technical support staff on a day-to-day basis, providing support, advice and direct supervision where appropriate.
2. Assist with the performance of the Department, with specific responsibility for delegated areas, ensuring the development and maintenance of the highest standards of IT systems support and effective, on-going service delivery.
3. Ensure that actions arising out of client requests, business developments, new systems implementations, etc. are undertaken to meet agreed timescales and to specified technical standards.
4. Carry out front line support duties, when required, as dictated by the needs of the service.
5. Work closely with the IT Systems Support Manager - Back Office Systems to ensure that the Department is able to meet its internal and external performance targets and that departmental resources are utilised in an efficient and effective manner.
