Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Intermediate Care Team as part of our Integrated Assessment and Support Service (ICASS).
The Intermediate Care Service provides rehabilitation to the adult population within the locality. This will be delivered to service users as in-patients, out-patients, or within their own home.
You will require a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.
Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will be expected to provide assessment and treatment for a mixed caseload of mainly older people with complex needs.
You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team. Quality improvement work, service development involvement, supervisory skills, and student mentoring would all be required.
There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites. Working hours flexibly over 7 days is part of developments, and current Public Holiday working is in operation.
Our service offers regular supervision, PDP, and supports training opportunities.
The ability to travel throughout the area is essential as part of the community rehab requirement of this post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check done than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a "regulated role", your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
