Role: Pharmacist Prescriber for Get A Drip

Job Summary
Embark on an exciting position at Get A Drip, a forward-thinking wellness enterprise. As the Pharmacist Independent Prescriber you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the secure and streamlined delivery of pharmaceutical services for our innovative online pharmacy platform. Your responsibilities will extend to supervising the daily functions of the pharmacy department, ensuring regulatory adherence, and upholding exemplary standards of customer care, safety, and service. In addition to overseeing pharmacy operations, the Responsible Pharmacist will take on prescribing duties, contributing to the seamless functioning of Get A Drip's clinical operations across both core and franchise clinics.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
* Implement the company’s Quality Policy as documented in the Quality and Procedures Manual.
* Ensure compliance with GPhC regulations and relevant guidelines.
* Maintain all required licences and certifications for the pharmacy and staff.
* Stay informed about changes in pharmacy laws and regulations and implement necessary changes in the pharmacy's policies and procedures.
Pharmaceutical Dispensing:
* Accurately and safely dispense prescription medications to customers, following proper dosage and labelling guidelines.
* Provide advice where required on the use and potential side effects of medications.
* Verify prescriptions for accuracy and legal requirements.
Inventory Management:
* Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring adequate stock of medications and supplies while minimising waste.
* Implement strategies to control and reduce inventory costs.
Medication Prescribing:
* Prescribe appropriate medications, including dosage and administration instructions, to treat medical conditions or alleviate symptoms. Ensure that prescriptions adhere to all regulatory requirements and best practices.
* Provide medical advice to assist colleagues.
* Support the development of new services and treatments.
* Seek advice from and liaise with the Chief Medical Officer, Head Nurse and Superintendent Pharmacist as required.
Customer and Patient Care:
* Address customer and patient enquiries and concerns, offering professional advice and guidance.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
* Masters degree in Pharmacy.
* Independent Prescriber registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain (beneficial but not an essential requirement).
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or prescribing.
Experience:
* Experience of working in a medical or retail environment as a Pharmacist.
* Prescribing would be beneficial but not an essential requirement.
Working Conditions:
* Based in our Non-NHS Pharmacy setting in Letchworth Garden City.
* Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours (9am-5.30pm).
