Job Details: Digital Recovery Co-ordinator
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Digital Recovery Coordinator - Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am until 5pm (Please note you will be required to work one evening clinic between 5pm and 7pm, this is worked on a rota basis approx. every 9 weeks)
Are you passionate about supporting young people and experienced in digital communication? Insight Lewisham is looking for a Digital Recovery Coordinator to lead our online engagement while also providing direct support to young people in their recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage our social media presence, primarily on Instagram, and help us expand to platforms like TikTok and Snapchat.
2. Create engaging posts for key awareness events (e.g., Alcohol Awareness Week, Black History Month) and share psychoeducational information on topics such as drugs (e.g., cannabis, ketamine, 2CB), mental health, and sexual health (e.g., contraception, consent, STIs, and online safety).
3. Develop a comprehensive digital library with resources for young people and their families on reducing substance misuse harms and promoting overall wellbeing.
4. Provide 1:1 support for a small caseload of young people, helping them with recovery planning and harm reduction, including sexual health advice.
5. Collaborate with a close-knit, supportive team and liaise with our Senior Marketing and Communications team to ensure high-quality, impactful content.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Proven experience working with young people, with a preference for experience in substance misuse, sexual health, or family work.
2. Strong social media skills, with experience creating content that resonates with young audiences.
3. Ability to manage a caseload and work collaboratively with the team to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
4. Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing, especially in areas of substance misuse and sexual health.
