At CT Fire Protection, we don’t hire you based on your job title. Titles can be misleading and rarely tell the full story of your skills and experience. Instead, we’re on the lookout for exceptional individuals who can demonstrate their expertise in the areas outlined below. You don’t need to tick every box; if you can confidently discuss some of the experience we’re after, then we’d love to hear from you. We won’t overlook talent just because your career path doesn’t follow a traditional trajectory.
What sets us apart is our commitment to seeing beyond your CV. We invest in people who are ready to grow with us and want to be part of a company that genuinely values their potential. Many organisations talk about growth, but we’ve already achieved significant milestones, and we’d be thrilled to share our journey with you. Let’s start the conversation.
The role we’re hiring for is a Fire Sprinkler Assistant to join our team based in Nottingham. You’ll be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire sprinkler systems across various sites, working closely with our experienced Fire Sprinkler Engineer. This is a hands-on, practical role where we’re more interested in your work ethic and your ability to adapt, learn, and follow safety protocols than specific prior experience. If you come from a practical background where you’ve gained an understanding of basic Health & Safety, we’d love to hear from you.
What you receive for joining us:
We’re looking to offer a salary between £12.00ph - £14.40ph in addition to 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and a company vehicle if you drive (transport will be available for those residing in Nottingham as our current Engineer will pick up and drop off if you do not have a valid UK Driving License).
Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
* Assist in the installation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems across commercial and residential properties.
* Support the team in the testing and inspection of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Contribute to the preparation and clearing of work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
* Help transport and handle materials, ensuring everything is used efficiently and correctly.
* Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards and company policies.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth workflow and clear understanding of requirements.
Can you show experience in some of these areas?
* Previous experience in a hands-on role such as construction, plumbing, or another trade is desirable but not essential.
* A solid understanding of basic Health & Safety principles and a commitment to safe working practices.
* A proactive and practical approach, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments, including at heights or in confined spaces.
Do you see yourself reflected in the description above? If so, we encourage you to submit your application today. Uncertain whether your skills align perfectly? Don't hesitate to apply regardless; we value candidates with diverse skill sets and will carefully consider all applicants.
