Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated band 6 Urology CNS. This is a dynamic, autonomous role and will focus upon managing and supporting a cohort of patients with complex urological conditions, supervised by a Band 8 Urology Advanced Nurse Practitioner. The Urology department is full of opportunities for nurses who are looking to expand their skills, develop specialist urology skills and become involved in quality improvement and collaborate with members of the wider MDT, Urodynamics and the Urology ward. This post will enable the individual to develop enhanced knowledge, skills, and competence in managing the care of children and families requiring specialist urology care. It is expected that the post holder will share the expertise gained with the wider multi-disciplinary team. The job is varied, interesting and challenging and would best suite someone with previous urology experience and general experience as a band 6. Main duties of the job The post-holder will work across the specialist Urology nursing team service under the supervision of a Band 8 Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide support to the clinical team in managing the caseload across the urology care pathway.
