Job Description
We currently have two permanent job vacancies for Plumbing & Heating Engineers to join our team based near Maghull, with work varying around different parts of Liverpool/Manchester. Most work is in the North West area of Liverpool.
We cover a wide variety of areas providing a full range of Compliance, Domestic, Commercial, and Industrial Mechanical services to local councils, factories, schools, shops, offices, care homes, football stadiums, and high-end luxury residential projects.
We are looking for highly motivated, honest, and reliable candidates who are able to work alone or as part of a team with at least 3 years of Plumbing & Heating experience in Domestic and Commercial settings.
Work Streams and Duties:
* First and second fix in commercial and industrial projects including schools, universities, new build industrial units, and refurbishment works.
* Work on a wide range of ongoing projects from substations to social housing compliance contracts.
* The right candidate will ideally be well-rounded and able to take on any domestic, commercial, or industrial projects.
The person for this position must:
* Be a qualified Plumbing & Heating engineer with extensive experience in Domestic, Commercial & Industrial work.
* Be experienced in fault finding, maintenance, and installations, capable of carrying out inspections and completing paperwork to a high standard.
* Achieve a high quality of workmanship while working independently or as part of a team within given timescales, ensuring all installations meet the requirements of BS7671.
* Be familiar with GASSAFE certification.
* Have a good knowledge of health & safety, best practices, and understand the importance of permits, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Have the ability to lead, develop, and progress apprentices to meet the required standards set out by BS7671.
* Be equipped with their own tools ready to work.
Typical Commercial Projects Include:
* First and second fixing of Plumbing & Heating
* Drainage installation
* Ventilation installation
* Making amendments to or replacing existing boilers
* Diagnose & fault finding
* Able to read and work off on-site plans/drawings
* Other associated works
Also involved are reactive maintenance and planned works (kitchen/bathroom upgrades).
Qualifications and Skills:
* NVQ level 2 & 3
* GAS SAFE Competent
* Full UK driving license essential
* Confident in all aspects of Plumbing & Heating installation
* High attention to detail and organized; health & safety conscious
* Good communication with both management and tenants
* Aware of and experienced in electrical compliance
