As anClass Teacherat Snowfields Academy’s Minster Campus, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, tailored education for students with a range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and delivering engaging, personalised lessons that meet the needs of students with a variety of SEN.
• Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create an inclusive, supportive environment for all students.
• Supporting students to build confidence, independence, and life skills, while fostering a love of learning.
• Collaborating with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
• Contributing to the development of the Minster Campus, shaping a positive, inclusive culture from day one.

• Has experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
• Is adaptable and open to working in a range of subject areas, with the ability to tailor lessons to the individual needs of students.

What the school offers its staff
Working with us at Snowfields Academy
Snowfields Academy opened in September 2020 in Bearsted as a new secondary provision for students with ASD. In September 2022 will opened an additional Campus at Cranbrook. When full we will offer 240 places across year groups 7-13 for young people who are working at or close to age-related expectations. Class sizes are small with 12/13 in each class, supported by 2-3 teaching assistants according to need. We offer a range of GCSEs and other qualifications for young people on a blend of academic and vocational pathways.
The academy benefits from being a brand new school with a design tailored to the students it provides for, carefully considered to make the most of both its inside and outside environments in order to enhance the learning of its students. The environment supports specialisms in horticulture and catering at Bearsted with a Cafe and Teaching kitchen and horticulture facilities at Bearsted and a working farm at Cranbrook. We will work closely with local businesses to offer an outstanding range of work experience opportunities and supported internships.
