Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer Manager to lead our bid writing function, ensuring we secure new business and retain existing contracts. You will be responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to writing compelling, high-quality proposals that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Bid Management: Oversee the end-to-end bid writing process, ensuring all submissions are completed on time and to the highest standard.
* Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and persuasive bids, proposals, and tender responses tailored to the client’s requirements.
* Market Research: Identify new business opportunities through tenders, frameworks, and procurement portals.
* Strategy & Planning: Develop bid strategies that align with the company’s growth plans and market positioning.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, sales, and finance teams to gather necessary information for bids.
* Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all bids meet legal, regulatory, and client requirements.
* Continuous Improvement: Maintain a bid library, update case studies, and improve bid templates to enhance future submissions.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners to support business development.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Bid Writer Manager, ideally in the security, construction, or facilities management sector.
* Strong understanding of security services, including manned guarding, CCTV monitoring, and site security.
* Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to produce high-quality proposals.
* Familiarity with public and private sector tendering processes.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
* High attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret bid requirements.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and bid management software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
