About The Role Gloucester City Council’s Culture team are looking for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice to support the development and delivery of the service. This role will work behind the scenes to ensure that everything is in place to support the delivery of our front-facing venues – which includes Gloucester Guildhall, Blackfriars Priory, and the Museum of Gloucester. You will provide business administration in several areas including live events, weddings, guided tours, exhibitions, purchasing of goods and services, collecting data for service development to name a few, but your primary focus will be supporting the venue hires function within the cultural venues. You will respond to venue hire enquiries, ensuring that hirers are provided with all booking information in advance, and you will continue to liaise with customers through their customer journey. You will ensure that invoices are raised, and payments received, along with follow up communication on how their experiences were with the service. This role is predominantly a desk-based job; however, you will take on a face-to-face role in welcoming our hirers to the venue, ensuring that their needs are met. You will support front line services including operations and box office when required and you will support several service improvement projects which may involve researching, streamlining of processes and production of training guides. As part of the apprenticeship, you will complete a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification in conjunction with Adult Education. About You We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, methodical in their approach and is not afraid to challenge our operation and suggest service improvements. You will be relied upon to provide administration across our venues therefore skills in prioritisation and organisational are essential and you need to be a team player and take responsibility for your work.
