Provide advice and guidance on high risk and complex ER Cases.
Demonstrate in depth employment law knowledge, business awareness and balance this with business needs to provide commercially viable service to all stakeholders.
Provide expert ER advice to support Adviser Plus, acting as primary point of escalation.
Work closely with the Senior ER Partners to drive consistency and reduce risk.
Role overview:
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage complex and high risk ER cases including Employment Tribunal Case preparation working closely with the Company's legal team.
* For more complex cases, provide strategic commercial oversight and stakeholder management, working closely with the Senior ER Partner and in-house legal team, to ensure that cases are managed in line with the culture and values of Currys.
* Coach & support managers or stakeholders on ER related matters as appropriate.
* Work with relevant functions and stakeholders to ensure business compliance in all regulated and legislative ER case activity (e.g. FCA, prevention of illegal working, whistleblowing).
* Identifies reputational risk to Currys from ER issues, escalates appropriately and takes action to mitigate, working cross functionally where needed (e.g. with External Comms).
* Provide advice and guidance to Adviser Plus, where assistance is needed, to ensure that ER Red Flag and High Touch cases are managed appropriately and in line with business expectations.
* Uses MI and cases learning to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
* Support the Senior ERPs to address and help in the development of line manager capability as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Ability to interpret complex legal guidance and translate these into clear procedures and plans of resolution/action.
* Strong subject matter expertise in the application of employment law, HR policy and process.
* Ability to summarise and provide briefing on difficult situations - advising on risks, process, best practice and precedent.
* Excellent knowledge and attention to detail in all case management including Employment Tribunal case preparation.
* Negotiation and facilitation skills required to get things done, convince or persuade others.
* Strong stakeholder management skills at GLT level, and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, tailoring it to suit the audience.
* Experience in coaching managers to improve how they handle difficult situations at work.
* Confident in analysing data, creating reports and presenting findings and recommendations.
* Ability to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
* Ability to positively resolve conflicts.
* Experience in collaborating across multiple functions and stakeholders to deliver results.
