We are looking for a proactive and reliable Relief Caretaker to support our site team during peak periods and cover staff absence. As part of our team, you'll play a key role in maintaining the security, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of our school premises.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform basic cleaning and minor repairs
* Assist with general maintenance tasks
* Move materials and equipment as needed (porterage)
* Maintain heating systems and conduct routine safety checks
* Ensure safety procedures are consistently followed
* Carry out checks on site equipment
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in caretaking or facilities maintenance is desirable, but not essential (training will be provided)
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* A proactive attitude toward maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment

We have the wonderful Thurstable Loves To Read programme as well as our innovative Morning Meeting programme based upon cognitive science and are committed that all students leave us with a reading age that matches their chronological age.

We believe that character is taught, caught and sought and are committed to providing as many opportunities for the students to make memories from foreign exchanges, musical productions, Duke of Edinburgh schemes and numerous sporting opportunities.
