About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to lead the establishment of a Communication and Interaction Specialist Resource Provision within our school. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to shape and develop a specialist environment that supports children with communication and interaction needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language, and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of a high-quality specialist provision to support pupils with communication and interaction needs.
* Design and implement an inclusive and engaging curriculum that supports the development of communication and interaction skills.
* Work closely with mainstream teachers and support staff to ensure seamless integration and inclusion. Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents, and external professionals to provide a holistic support network.
* Develop and deliver specialist interventions to support pupils in achieving their full potential.
* Monitor and assess progress, adapting strategies as needed to ensure positive outcomes.
* Provide training and guidance to staff to enhance whole-school approaches to communication and interaction.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative educator who is committed to creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment. The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly communication and interaction needs.
* A deep understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and associated interventions.
* Experience in developing and delivering tailored learning plans for pupils with SEND.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
* A collaborative and proactive approach to leading a team and engaging with external agencies.
