Job Title: Graduate Submarines IT Systems & Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Frimley (Surrey)
Start Date: 8th September 2025
BAE Systems offers a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements; however, it is expected that on our Graduate programme you will be required to attend your site 3-4 days per week. Please note, this may be subject to change in line with the needs of the business. The hybrid working arrangements, including which days you are required to work on site/remotely, will be outlined by your line manager.
Salary: £34,000 & £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you will be doing:
As an IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer Graduate, you will be developing your expertise and domain experience to work towards good Systems Engineering practices. You will support Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Principal Engineers in delivering IT systems and products to the submarine build and through-life support programmes. You will build experience to help support overall project delivery and performance.
You will also be developing an understanding of the principles of the science and technology of computing. You will have a basic understanding of the customer and user needs of the product system and how this will influence and impact design activities, technical and operational performance.
You will develop your knowledge of the IT marketplace, including products and suppliers, and will have an understanding of the direction of potential future technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will build your knowledge and experience to provide input to the following typical key deliverables, dependent on the role and the place the project is in the engineering lifecycle:
* Captured and agreed technical requirements in accordance with company and programme processes.
* Compliant technical solutions against contractual requirements and regulations.
* Design documentation generated, captured, configured, and controlled in accordance with company processes.
* Design change requirements and documentation generated, captured, configured, and controlled in accordance with company processes.
* Technical input to LCM deliverables and Design Reviews.
Skills:
As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computing and/or IT, or a closely related subject.
