About the Role
Base Location: Reading, Slough, West London, Oxford
Salary: £41,583 - £48,296 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our team!
As a Finance Manager, you will manage a team of Cost Analysts and work closely with Project Managers.
We are looking for a great people manager with a proven track record of leading, coaching, and motivating teams.
Other roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Management of a team of Cost Analysts and be responsible for their day-to-day performance and development.
2. The financial monitoring of a programme of Connections work, including successful financial management of projects.
3. Managing the financial monitoring and reporting within Large Connection Delivery, including the management of financial administration and the coordination of individual and budgetary reporting.
4. Lead the financial function, establishing the appropriate project controls and reporting to support successful delivery through individual Project Managers.
5. Driving an effective and positive customer relationship, exceeding individual customers' expectations to provide excellent service to support positive outcomes, repeat business, and reduced customer complaints.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
1. Sound business knowledge of how a Distribution Network Operator (DNO) business, or similar market operates, including an understanding of financial operation and reporting.
2. Experience with governance and gateway requirements for project expenditure to enable management of projects to time and budget. You will use your financial knowledge to enable forecasting of income and expenditure on projects.
3. A relentless desire to find problems and resolve issues to drive a lean process.
4. Comfortable with Microsoft packages such as Excel. Knowledge of PROMIS and Harmony would be highly advantageous; however, training will be provided.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, and the ability to comfortably deal with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.
