ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of the Civil Engineer
The successful Civil Engineer will work alongside a Senior Civil Engineers when offering Consultancy services to a variety of clients.
The successful Civil Engineer will quickly develop their skills and be given every opportunity to push to Senior level.
You will work in the following areas :
1. Building conditions
2. Structural repair
3. Concrete repair
4. Work on buildings / civil structures / marine structures
5. Forensic investigation of building material defects with a focus on corrosion
6. Cathodic Protection
You will undertake a number of tasks, but specifically :
7. CAD
8. Building Information Modelling (BIM)
9. On site survey work
10. Design work including production of specifications, calculations, drawings and condition assessment reports.
11. Life care planning.
REQUIREMENTS
The Civil Engineer will have:
12. A Bachelor degree in Civil or Materials Engineering.
13. A minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in industry.
14. Working toward Chartership
15. Working toward Senior Engineer.
16. Post graduate degree in corrosion -UMIST/Cranfield or Similar (Desirable)
17. ICorr ISO 15257, Level 3 or Higher in Reinforced Concrete, Marine or On-Land Sectors (Desirable)
