Understanding how to and where necessary carry out daily morning start of shift checks, which includes scale calibration, Gas analyser verification, metal detector checks, Nitrate checks of water, hand wash water checks and positive air checks.
Understanding how to and where necessary carry out full factory hygiene checks before the day time production shift starts as well as carrying out hygiene checks during the break time cleaning of slicers, ensuring the correct procedures are followed, e.g. sufficient contact time.
Understanding how to and where necessary carry out Intake of raw materials (chilled, frozen, ingredients and packaging) ensuring company and customer specifications are adhered to, when required.
Investigate (where necessary identifying root cause) and report accordingly any non-conformances.
Where appropriate relevant corrective actions must be taken (including HOLD procedure when required).
Checking products on the production lines for quality and ensuring product compliance with specification, food safety and legal requirements.
Checking equipment within the factory ensuring compliance specification and legal requirements.
Some paperwork & computer work duties are required.
Carry out product temperature checks to ensure that satisfactory temperatures are maintained throughout the process.
To deputise and provide cover for colleagues within the department due to absence or sickness.
Liaise with the Technical Management in order to maintain and develop the quality management system to the BRC standard and ensure all CCP’s are monitored at all times.
Liaise with Production Managers and Supervisors to ensure the highest standard of food safety and quality.
Intake of raw materials (chilled, frozen, ingredients and packaging), when required.
To assist with staff briefing/ on the job training for any procedural changes/ updates.
Prepare for customer and 3rd party audits, ensuring visible factory presence throughout the audit.
To undertake any training deemed necessary to meet the Company’s and personal performance and development requirements.
