About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to join our Operations Support team. Providing critical management information to our Chief Operating Officer, Regional Directors and Department Heads; the role will support the Trust in the development, analysis and delivery of operational and financial management information across our operational activities; delivering against the Trust’s vision, strategic goals, priorities & objectives; and statutory and government contractual obligations.
You will be a cohesive link with senior management throughout the Trust, engaging in development, analysis, delivery and success measurement of agreed strategies.
A key element will be helping to develop and support our Business Performance and analysis reporting across our operational maintenance programmes, delivery of efficiencies, health & safety, finance, equipment and vehicles, assurance & compliance.
Location
This role is based working from home, with a requirement to attend our main hub spaces from time to time for team working a collaborative meetings. It is important that you are able to reasonably commute to one of our main hubs below.
Relevant hubs include: Leeds, Ellesmere Port, Burnley, Newark, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, Gloucester.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience
Key accountabilities:
1. To contribute to the development, implementation, analysis, and measurement of works delivering Trust priorities; able to interrogate systems and develop appropriate reporting of outcomes and trends, appropriately analyse for trends/ identify opportunities for improvement.
2. Interpretation of reporting and presentation in a clear way using a range of media
3. Providing timely, accurate and insightful reporting to colleagues at all levels including detailed business analysis and reporting, monthly management financial and other reports; and ad-hoc reporting, enabling the Trust to become more efficient and effective.
4. Maintain current measures, seek ways to improve and automate measurement and reporting of outputs
5. Work with colleague in the development of new measures/ Key Performance Indicators, so they provide robust management information; strong emphasis on automation of reporting
6. Work with Senior Manager’s and their teams across the Trust to determine data analysis and reporting needs to allow them to understand their performance and make informed decisions, and to implement accordingly.
7. Interrogate data, identify trends and improvement opportunities; assist interpretation, and communication with the wider Trust and relevant people to enable improvement and deliver the Trust’s wider objectives.
8. Ensure high quality, accurate data is collected and its integrity is maintained at all times; identify, investigate and remedy anomalies.
9. Carry out performance analysis and output reporting for the Trust by providing analytical reports and identifying trends in order to support the Executive, senior managers and team managers to identify opportunities for improved productivity and compliance/performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Technical:
10. Experienced in working in unfamiliar industries/ areas of work, and successfully developing the understanding of those industries sufficient to enable high quality data management and analysis
11. Experienced in undertaking and presenting analysis to monitor cost control, productivity, outputs vs targets and programme.
12. Capability of obtaining data from external sources (eg supplier portals) to generate reporting for the Trust’s purposes in an automated way.
13. Experienced in the use of PowerBI to visualise data and develop a narrative for the information presented, or other visualisation tools.
14. Experienced in the creation and delivery of communication pieces related to the data.
15. Experience in working in an established continuous improvement environment and/ or familiar with lean principles is desirable.
General:
16. IT skills across a range of appropriate platforms with the ability to extract and interpret data to display succinct information for reporting purposes.
17. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
18. Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
