Established in 1975, Bridgend Accident Repair Centre is one of the longest established independent accident repair centres in the West of Scotland.
A family-run business that is large enough to cope with ever-changing business and industry changes yet remaining small enough to care.
Due to maternity cover (minimum 1 year, potentially permanent for the right candidate), we are looking for a receptionist.
(42hrs per week 8am-5pm Mon to Thurs and 8am - 4.30pm Friday).
Responsibilities
* Provide a courteous, welcoming, and efficient front of house Bodyshop reception service.
* Deal with incoming enquiries, admin, and phone calls and make customer bookings.
* Process the estimates using in-house systems.
* Negotiate repair approvals with insurance engineers.
* Collate and provide data when requested, such as a particular insurance company's vehicles on site and what stage they are at.
* Provide regular communication to customers, keeping them informed of repair progress, additional work needed, or vehicle completion, regularly updating the Emacs management system.
Experience/Skills
* Excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to multitask in a busy environment.
* Ability to keep up to date with technical information and possess good problem-solving skills.
* Strong with administration, diary management, and following up within agreed time frames.
* Ability to develop rapport and trust with customers and to resolve conflict situations calmly and reasonably.
* Passion for customer service, a process-oriented approach, and professionalism.
