A new Production Operative vacancy has arisen within our Stores department at our Roman Bank site in Skegness.
JOB TITLE: Production Operative
JOB TYPE: Full time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm
PAY: £12.00 per hour
We are a market leader in the provision of clean garments to the food processing and manufacturing industries. We also offer consumables and PPE services and are a large supplier to the pharmaceuticals industry.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that processing through the department is correct whilst reaching targets and KPIs.
Key Duties include:
1. Adhere to company policies
2. Cover for Laundry washhouse & Goods Inwards
3. Absence cover for other departments at Roman Bank as required
4. Attend and contribute to team brief
5. Conduct start-up checks and end-of-shift checks
6. Follow company quality procedures
7. Follow company hygiene and jewellery policies
8. Follow correct dress code policy at all times
9. Support your Team Leader to reach and exceed the daily targets
10. Adhere to 5S area standards/principles
11. Follow all Health and Safety procedures and site rules at all times
12. Company uniform will be provided
13. Must be physically capable for the manual handling requirements of the role
14. Ability to adhere to policies and procedures
15. Forklift license is desirable but full training can be provided
The Ideal Candidate:
1. Candidates must be physically capable for the demands of the role
2. Attention to detail in supporting the Team Leader and Deputy Co-ordinator in meeting company and customer quality requirements
3. Good understanding of safe working practices and importance of compliance
4. Understand set targets and KPIs within the department
5. Good self-motivation, initiative and commitment to the business
6. Willing to work flexible hours as and when required
7. Excellent timekeeping and attendance
8. Good level of spoken and written English
Training and support will be provided, and the successful candidate must be willing to attend courses/sessions as and when offered to continue the development of operational efficiency working practices.
