Job Description We have a part-time vacancy for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly and well-established team in Banbury, to undertake all aspects of Practice Nursing. We are looking for 3 sessions per week (15 hours) worked on Wednesday & Thursday mornings and Friday afternoons. There may be scope to increase these hours in the future and offer flexibility on days and hours. The main duties of the role will be Treatment Room including Cytology, Childhood Immunisations, Wound Management, Vaccinations, Venepuncture etc. It would be an advantage to have skills in chronic respiratory disease management as we are looking for a nurse to manage these patients and have responsibility for QOF in this area. Responsibilities Conducting patient assessments and creating care plans Administering vaccinations and medications Assisting with minor surgical procedures Providing patient education on health promotion and disease prevention Collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Participating in quality improvement initiatives Qualifications Valid nursing license and certification as a Practice Nurse Proven experience in a primary care or general practice setting Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment Commitment to upholding ethical and professional nursing standards Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in primary care Day-to-day As a Practice Nurse, you will spend your days interacting with patients, conducting assessments, providing treatments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include administering vaccinations, assisting with minor procedures, and educating patients on health maintenance. You will also be involved in maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to the improvement of care delivery processes.
