Contract: 12 month Secondment (Full time, Monday-Friday)
Recruitment Partner: Frankie McCallister-Lyas
About the role:
As the Content Specialist for Beauty and Christmas, you'll be at the heart of our brand storytelling, leading creative and ideation for print, digital, and video editorial channels. You'll join our in-house Social Media, Influencer, and Content team, working across beauty and Christmas, reporting into the Content Manager. You'll be leading the delivery of the famous printed Boots Christmas Gift Guide, alongside editorial content including long-form articles on boots.com and video content for YouTube. Collaboration within the team is essential to ensure we're maximizing production efficiencies and working with the right talent for our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
1. You will work alongside our in-house agency to deliver the famous Christmas Gift Guide, both in print and digitally.
2. You will be accountable for developing the Christmas content concepts and ideas (gift guide, the gift guide edit, braille, audio, and digital Christmas content) that delivers on the brief. As part of this, you'll develop a process for the delivery, sign-off, and evaluation of the content/project.
3. You will be fully accountable for securing supplier funding for the Christmas gift guide, maintaining profit vs costs, and managing the entire budget.
4. You will manage and deliver all YouTube-first content for Christmas, gifting, and beauty, ensuring all content ladders up to the channel strategy and is relevant for the category audience.
5. You will be responsible for the development of cross-functional relationships to ensure consistency and integration in delivery across all content formats that are fit for the customer.
6. For this role, you will need to be self-sufficient and confident to make the right decisions, needing limited day-to-day support from your line manager.
7. You will be accountable for senior stakeholder management at all levels, ensuring they see all creative at the right time.
8. Supporting the Content Marketing Manager with daily tasks and admin, where needed.
What you'll need to have:
1. A real passion and obsession for social media, content & influencer marketing, and a real want to learn and develop in this area.
2. 1-2 years in a Content role, with experience in creation and delivery of content.
3. A positive can-do attitude, and the confidence to present to stakeholders in the business.
4. Strong negotiation skills.
5. Up-to-date knowledge of content trends, platforms, and best practices - and how our different customers will use channels and consume content differently, in particular long-form editorial content.
6. A customer-first mindset with the natural ability to create and identify meaningful conversations and connect with different audiences.
7. The ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
8. Excellent communication skills - a talent for promoting your ideas to others and getting them as excited as you are.
9. The ability to flex your working hours, should you need to travel to events or shoots.
10. Highly organized and able to manage your own time, diary, and projects.
11. Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects at once.
It would be great if you also have:
