Step Teachers are looking for an Art Teacher for a role in Watford. Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts and have long-standing relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area. This Full Time Art Teacher role starts in January 2025; it is initially a supply role but the school is looking to make this permanent.
This combined Secondary School and Sixth Form has a drive for every child to not only succeed but also thrive with their education and develop a love of learning in the process. The school has been rated ‘Good’ under the former Ofsted ratings for schools and prides itself on the cohesive learning community of the school.
Art Teacher Role:
* Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Art Curriculum
* Organised maintenance of the classroom and the professional use, storage, and maintenance of associated resources
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress
* Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
* Compliance with the school's policies and the reliable implementation of these
Art Teacher Requirements:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
* Have recent mainstream school-based experience as an Art Teacher at Secondary School level.
* Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
* A relevant Art-related degree is desirable
* SEND experience is desirable
