A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join their Technical Operations team at their Merseyside facility. This role is pivotal in supporting manufacturing processes through the implementation and optimization of automation systems, including Rockwell FTView, DeltaV, and Historian (OSI PI).
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive automation support for manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to good manufacturing practices and regulatory requirements.
* Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers while influencing operational leaders to enhance technical knowledge and process efficiency.
* Manage all aspects of the automation system lifecycle, from requirements generation to configuration, validation, and maintenance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation changes that enhance safety and product quality.
* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during internal and external audits, offering technical guidance and support.
* Maintain system security, configuration management, and documentation to ensure systems operate in a validated state.
Qualifications:
* A technical degree or equivalent experience in automation is required.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
* Expertise in integrating business systems and automation platforms.
