Job summary
Primary Care mental health Nurses work closely with the GP practice staff, their TEWV colleagues, other agencies and first contact staff.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
The post holder will be an experienced mental health nurse, responsible for short-term treatment of patients referred to you in GP Ideally you will have skills in delivery of the front end interventions to aid patients stay within a primary care setting. Ideally, you will be a non medical prescriber however this training is available.

Supervision, training and personal development are a key aspect of the post, along with regular supervision/appraisal which we see as an important aspect to the role.

1. Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare or social work
2. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
3. Certificate in teaching & assessing in clinical practice as appropriate to own profession.

5. Clinical Supervisor
6. Recognised sign-off mentor (or equivalent) for students or must be achieved within agreed timescale
