Hull City Council seeks a part-time Service Support Officer to provide a business support service to the North Locality Children’s Social Care Team, managing the Front of House team and providing an effective customer-focused service to children, young people, their families, carers, and professionals who visit or call North Locality.
The post holder manages the Front of House team, assisting the Group Manager with service and site requests, arranging meetings and panels, minute taking, processing financial transactions including administering petty cash, and updating and retrieving information within Liquidlogic, as well as maintaining childcare filing.
The post holder will provide flexible, high-quality, efficient, and responsive business support services to Children’s Social Care, ensuring compliance with procedures and practices to support the delivery of front-line services. The post holder will also provide support to the Business Support Team Leader as required and to colleagues within other Children’s Social Care locations.
Minimum Qualifications: NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification, skills, and experience is essential. Experience of working in a busy, demanding office is required, with experience in minute taking. The role can be emotionally demanding; therefore, the ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial, along with knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
The post is based at McMillan Centre. Hybrid working arrangements are in place; however, you will be expected to work in the office.
The position is part-time: 18.5 hours on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, and Friday.
