Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Executive Director, Investor Relations & External Communications to join our Finance team at Autolus. This leader will be responsible for Autolus’ investor relations and external communications strategy. S/he will play a critical role in developing/communicating Autolus’ value proposition by working with the company’s internal cross-functional teams to ensure that critical messaging and routine quarterly reporting is delivered to all business-critical stakeholders, conveys competitive advantage and differentiation for Autolus and raises investor confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop clear and compelling messaging targeted at the investment community to position Autolus as a leading investable cell therapy company.
• Develops and drives a company IR & external communications strategy and plan
• Develops and drives performance metrics for the IR & external communications function
• Develop effective relationships with government and regulatory stakeholders to represent Autolus and influence macro level healthcare policy
• Build effective relationships with KOL’s, thought leaders, and advisory boards to the ends of developing and promoting Autolus’ value proposition to business-critical target audiences
• Interface with and effectively manage input from company’s internal resources to meet communication deliverables and deadlines including Clinical, Translational Science, Regulatory, Business Development, Strategy, Legal, and Finance.
• Ensure effective use of external communications channels to provide varied yet consistent messages and opportunities for engagement while maintaining employer brand continuity
• Track intelligence on markets, regulatory conditions and competitive environment that may disrupt Autolus’ product/service offerings and/or create opportunities for inorganic growth • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, including presentations to executive teams, board members, and investor communities
• Creates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, brokers, and investors
• Monitors analyst reports and highlights key messages for senior management
• Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community
• Establishes and maintains relationships with stock exchange representatives
• Organizes conferences, road shows, earnings conference calls, and investor meetings
• Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community's perception of how the company is being managed, and their view of its financial results
• Represents the views of the investor community to the management team in the development of corporate strategy
• Assists in the production of all annual reports, SEC filings, and proxy statements
