Job Title: Accounts Assistant Location: Sheffield Company Overview: Connected is excluively working with a Sheffield-based manufacturer that supplies a wide range of market sectors including construction, automotive, caravans, and modular building. The company is made up of multiple trading divisions, employing 70 people and achieving a combined annual turnover exceeding £10 million. Position Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control and sales ledger management. Candidates with proficiency in Sage 50 will be of significant interest. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain the sales ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Perform credit control duties, including monitoring customer accounts and chasing overdue payments. Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. Support the finance team with various accounting tasks as needed. Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve any billing issues. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in credit control and sales ledger management. Proficiency in Sage 50 is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
