We are looking for two kitchen porters who can be flexible in their working hours, to cover the following shifts: 07.00-15.00, 10.00-18.30, 11.30-20.00 or 12.30-20.30 on the basis of working 37.5 hours a week. There will be some weekend work, and shift patterns will vary week to week and be published three weeks in advance.
The main duties will involve maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, cleaning kitchen equipment and using the dishwashers to clean crockery, cutlery, pots & pans.
Duties will include working on the service belt plating up patient meals, cleaning meal trollies, stocking up cleaning sundries and collecting goods from the stores. On occasion, you will be required to cover the catering assistant role producing salads, sandwiches, fruit salads, and assisting the chefs with food production.
You will be required to comply with food safety policies, procedures, and current legislation, so previous catering experience would be an advantage, but not essential, as training will be provided.
You will need to ensure you give a high-quality, professional service to staff and visitors at all times.
