We are seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in a male-only unit specialising in dementia care and supporting residents who may display challenging behaviours.
About the Role:
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead the care team, ensure adherence to CQC guidelines, and deliver high standards of care to residents. You will supervise and guide junior staff to support the quality of care within the unit, promoting independence, dignity, and positive risk-taking.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Strong communication and written skills
Proven experience in elderly care, specifically with mental health and challenging behaviour needs
Self-motivated, resilient, and organised
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
Prior supervisory experience within a care or nursing home setting
Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
A passion for delivering exceptional care
