Job Overview
We are looking for motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapists to join our well-established musculoskeletal Team at the new Forest of Dean Hospital. You will be required to work in the outpatients department managing a comprehensive range of MSK conditions. We receive self-referrals, GP, Consultant, and referrals from our Advanced Practitioner Service and other Health Care Professionals.
There are opportunities to expand knowledge in our pelvic health, vestibular, and hand specialisms. In-Service Training is encouraged and supported. You will play an active part in the local and Countywide MSK in-service training programmes and be expected to commit to your own personal development.
Close links exist with the band 7 staff working in the Musculoskeletal Advanced Practitioner Service (MSKAPS).
Main Responsibilities
* To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
* To be professionally and legally accountable for a designated patient caseload.
* To maintain own competency to practice through continuing professional development activities.
* To maintain and develop current knowledge of evidence-based practice within the musculoskeletal field.
* To assist more senior staff to supervise, train, advise, support and manage physiotherapists, students, more junior staff and Assistants performance.
* To participate in the Gloucestershire Health and Care Services individual review process as an appraiser.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
* Member of CSP
* Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Experience
* Good working knowledge of relevant national standards to which quality of practice should be monitored
Specialist Knowledge
* Good communication skills both verbal and non-verbal and written
* To be able to evidence clinical reasoning in the management of non-complex patient presentation
* Evidence of continuing professional development
