About the role:
We are looking for a Centre Administrator to join us in our Centre Administration department based at Shuttleworth College. As a Centre Administrator you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by:
Providing a high quality, professional front of house service, ensuring that the College’s standards of service are met through the effective processing of customers and visitors
Supporting the Centre Administration Team with administrative duties as identified by the Centre Administration Team Leader and Group Head of Administration
Working effectively as a member of the Centre Administration Team, carrying out any other associated duties as directed by the Centre Administration Team Leader and Group Head of Administration
Participating in recruitment events run by The Group, such as Open Days
Supporting the Head of Department, Course Leads, Learning and Teaching Coaches and programme area staff by producing a range of professional business documents, to include letters, emails, on-line purchase requisitions and proof reading
Using various College software packages (EBS Student Database etc.) as required
Assisting with ensuring student data information is up to date
Assisting the Examinations Dept. and Student Data with various tasks, including registering of students for Exams, progressing Learners, exam invigilation, sending out of Certificates and any other duties assigned by the Centre Administration Team Leader
About you:
Good general education to include English at GCSE grade A*-C or equivalent
ITQ Level 2 (IT qualification) or ECDL Level 2 (European Computing Driving Licence) or RSA II (OCR) Word Processing or equivalent
Level 2 in Maths/Numeracy (GCSE or equivalent) or willingness to achieve Numeracy Level 2
Experience of working effectively in an office based environment
Experience of working effectively in a customer focussed environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Evidence of high performance in previous roles/jobs
Experience of operating computerised and manual systems
Willingness to take minutes
Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
