We are seeking a motivated individual for a two-year secondment or fixed-term contract as the National Environmental Health Policy Officer. In this role, you will work with Environmental Health Wales (EHW) to drive policy development, improve the efficiency of environmental health services, and support local authorities in promoting public health across Wales. This is a national position requiring frequent travel and collaboration with key stakeholders, including Welsh Government, WLGA, CIEH, and other regulatory bodies.
The successful candidate will monitor policy changes, draft responses to government consultations, and facilitate meetings of EHW and its executive group. You will also support the sharing of best practices; help develop training initiatives and represent EHW at national forums and meetings.
Strong communication, project management, and networking skills are essential, along with a sound understanding of environmental health legislation and policy.
