CEO/Managing Director A leading independent contract GMP chemical manufacturer as part of the site succession plan is looking for a CEO or Managing Director to lead the business based in Cheshire. The company produces specialist GMP products within animal health, actives within medical devices and food ingredients. As the CEO or Managing Director, you will collaborate with the Chairman, Technical Director, and other executive leadership to align strategies, optimize operational efficiency and qualify all commercial opportunities in the collective pursuit of excellence, growth and viability. Duties may include the following: • Understand technical/chemical processes, evaluate, plan and mitigate the risks for chemical processes. • Develop the company’s strategic vision and long-term objectives in close collaboration with other executive team members. • Lead, direct and motivate executive team and site employees to advance skills, company culture engagement. • Oversee all operations delivery and performance (technical and production), demand planning and operational capacity. • Analyse problematic operational situations provide solutions. • Ensure site engagement to legal guidelines, governance to quality, environmental and HSE • Commercially qualify customer enquiry’s, encompassing relationship development, opportunity qualification, costing, proposal writing and negotiation. • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including board members, investors, brand partners, vendors, suppliers and clients. • PnL responsibility and drive financial performance, cash flow, and mitigate financial risks. The CEO or Managing Director should still possess and exhibit the level of interpersonal and management skills. Also including: Education • a bachelor’s degree in scientific, technical or engineering relevant to reflect the core nature of the business. Professional Experience • Proven experience as CEO or in other senior managerial position (managing director, general manager of director). • Managerial, senior leadership experience in the range of 7 to 10 Years. • Experience in new product induction and product development • Creative problem-solving skills, ability to develop and implement a clear vision for the company's future growth and profitability. • Experienced in working, setting the direction for Quality ISO9001, FSSC22000, ISO14001, GMP and food safety. • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills for commercial opportunities. • Proficient financial management skills, including PnL budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Flexibility to work and respond to business needs and changes This is fantastic opportunity and package is on offer to join a growing contract chemical manufacturing business and in return they are offering a competitive package and the opportunity to be a site leader through being the CEO or Managing Director.
