AD and NCAP Performance and Test Engineer - 0969 - £27.94/hr PAYE rate

What You Will Do:
1. Support advanced engineering of AD (Autonomous Driving) and NCAP, including gathering data to define AD development scope.
2. Retrofit and reprogram vehicle electronics for development tests, and collect data for initial analysis reports.
3. Facilitate alignment of specification fixes between various departments within the company.
4. Support NCAP activities, participate in meetings, and contribute to the working group to align on the latest internal strategy.
5. Manage test activities, including location, schedule, prototype vehicles, personnel, and equipment, and travel to test sites to oversee/support testing activities.
6. Deliver data collection reports, data analysis reports, fixed specification documentation, and NCAP development plans.
What You Will Bring:
1. A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with a deep understanding of vehicle AD/ADAS systems and their development.
2. Fluent written and verbal English language capability.
3. Experience in software application into vehicle ECUs in a manufacturing environment - including flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.
4. Ability to risk assess software modifications and develop appropriate test plans, with knowledge of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
5. Competency in using software such as CANalyzer, CAPL, CANoe, CANape, Matlab for capturing data, analysis of data, and preparing/executing test procedures.
